From the Makers of Smallville Comes AQUAMAN... NOT!

Here is a look at the Aquaman Trailer for the series that the new CW network passed on. Rumor is they went with One Tree Hill over this new series. They also kept 7th Heaven for another year. That show should have been put out of its misery years ago. At least Smallville will be around for another year. Alas, it was not meant to be.

What? How could they pass on this, with all the other crap thats out there? Its basically the same show that comes out every summer on Fox, plus a superhero angle that bring the nerds over to beachy summer land. Plenty of chances for scantily clad beach babes to up the viewing numbers, and did I see Lou Diamond Philips in there too? La Bamba!

The focus of the CW is obviously not going to be where The WB's was. Smallville gets minor publicity (remember way back, before the merge was announced? Every week there was a Smallville feature in TV Guide and it was mentioned all over the place). Now Aquaman is not picked up (thank god, i say). So, they target the teen drama audience. And in doing so, they resurrected 7th Heaven over Everwood. Sigh. They're kind of a big joke, aren't they?

That looked good. Excuse me if I'm not up to date, but what's this CW all about?

The CW (not the smoothest of names, but better than the Wii) is a new network formed by combining the WB and UPN networks. The CW will be available in more locations than either of the 2 previous networks, and hopefully will actually turn a profit as well. So, basically WB and UPN each dumped half their shows, even though no one will probably care that most of them are gone. =)

Aquaman wa being devloped for the WB, but with this merger, not as many new shows were needed. Though quaman is still rumored to be a possible midseason debut depending on how the other shows in the lineup perform.
