B. O. Derby

Its pretty funny when the news makes up headlines like "Miami Vice makes Pirates Walk the Plank." Sure Miami Vice made more money this weekend than Pirates 2, but only $5 million, and the truth is, Vice's opening was fairly disappointing if not expected. Pirates can't be #1 forever, and $20 million in the 4th weekend is nothing to scoff at. Anyhow, Cars finally took over the #2 spot giving Disney quite the bragging rights. Superman continues to creep toward the elusive 200 mil mark, and everything else basically stayed put. The Ant Bully opened to only $8 million finally establishing that eventually even the hottest trend (CG) can be beaten to death. Of course that is not stopping Barnyard (by the way, there are NO male cows) from opening this Friday.
