The Marvel Movie Pipeline

During Marvel's investor meeting on Monday, updates were given on a number of upcoming projects. Along with 2008's Iron Man and Incredible Hulk, 5 other films are in development under the Marvel / Paramount distribution deal. Two of these will most likely be released in 2009. Our options are: Captain America, Thor, Ant-Man, Nick Fury, and The Avengers. Which of these buxom young heroes would you all like to see? My money is on Ant-Man and The Cap in '09. I would like to see Thor eventually, but I don't want his film to be rushed. I could take or leave Nick Fury, and after the Hasselhoff disaster, I am leaning towards leave.

What say you all?

If Edgar Wright is still doing Ant-Man, then I'm REALLY excited about it. Cap would be awesome too. Never saw the Hoff version of Nick Fury but that would also be pretty rad to see on the big screen.

The Cap sure has taken his fair share of abuse over the years. I'd like to see him get a nice treatment. I'd vote for the Avengers too. I think it'd be cool to see a "team" of superheroes on screen that's not the xmen. When are we going to get some crossovers? Like why can't Wolverine help Spidey out a bit sometime? Anyway, no big complaints about Marvel's plans. They seem to be doing pretty good.

I agree about the team-up idea. None of those four heroes do anything for me, but a filmic version of a comic crossover of Marvel characters already established on screen would kick all kinds of unholy ass...

I personally think a Daredevil/Spidey crossover would work, too...

How about a a kick-ass "Captain America" film, set during WWII, where Cap, along with 'Bucky', takes on Adolf Hitler, Arnim Zola, Baron Heinrich Zemo and of course... the Red Skull. At the end of this epic film, Cap gets frozen and then returns many years later in...

"The Avengers"! Set in the present, Cap & the Avengers do battle with Baron Helmut Zemo and the Masters of Evil, and also.... Hitler! His brain having been 'saved' by Arnim Zola back in 1945. And could the original Red Skull still be alive?

the idea of a retro cap movie would be cool.

as for crossovers, i would love to see wolverine vs hulk. too bad all the rights are spread out with sony and fox. i dont think we will see spidey or wolvy in a crossover anytime soon.

we could see spidey and ghost rider which would be cool, but i doubt that would happen.

I'd love to see a Cap movie. I find it amusing that Marvel decided to make an Iron Man movie after they just spent a year making Tony the biggest dick in the Marvel Universe.

LOL! That's true though.
The Marvel 'Civil War' was a huge mistake.

I think that a movie for ant-man would be great! he does not get no where near as much of the recognition he deserves, he basically started the Avengers. If t wasnt for him finding janett and turning her into "the wasp" whom really started the avengers then the entire team would have never existed. And im a big fan of thor aswell!
