Yellow Brings in the Green

The Simpsons opened much bigger than most, including me, expected with a whopping $72 million. The movie should eventually find its way tp the Top 9 list. Very impressive for a show with 200 hours of free episodes on TV in heavy rotation.

No changes to the Top 9 list this week, but next week, there may be some mix ups. As for milestones, Transformers continues to approach the monumental $300 million mark, and that figure isn't yet out of reach for Potter either. Ratatouille still believes it can muster $200 million, but it may be close.

Next week, Jason Bourne returns for the 4th 3quel of the summer. With good reviews so far, Bourne has a shot also at $200.
