Even MORE Than Has Hitherto Met the Eye

Greedily seeking some extra dough, Transformers is returning to theaters for the rare theatrical double dip. On September 21, Optimus and Co are busting into IMAX with additional footage in a bid for the Summer 07 crown.

I guess my feelings on this depend on what the bonus footage contains. If I will be able to see who is getting shot in the finale, great! If its just more Jar-Jar Frenzy, meh. I will post the details as I get them.

what the hell? They can't stand not to have been the biggest grossing film of the summer, so they want to re-release in September?

But if they blow their "previously unseen footage" load now, what will they have to the DVD doubledip???

DAMN YOU, MICHAEL BAY!

of course, the first dvd will be the theatrical version, then the double will be the exclusive IMAX cut.

No kidding, I'm still trying to figure out what the hell happened to Barricade in the end of the movie. He answers Starscream's call, races along with the other Decepticons in pursuit of the Allspark convoy, Bonecrusher transforms, and we never see Barricade again?

I know what happens in the Alan Dean Foster novel, but I sure as hell didn't see it in the movie. Maybe that's the extra footage...

so, what did happen to barricade in the book?

In the book, Barricade shoots his dad and runs off to join the Texas Rangers.

Or, so I heard.
