i didnt really like it. the animation was good and stuff but it felt a bit off with all the smashing and disregard for public safety and all. i dunno it just didn't feel true to the spirit of superman.

The voicework seemed ridiculously out of place, but some of the animation was cool. By 'some', I mean that I really liked the fight scenes, but the rest felt rushed. Oh, and the story... why couldn't they have just stuck with the original story, or at least something close to it, simplified? I enjoyed the Death of Superman/Funeral for a Friend storyline, and have gone back and read it more than a few times. I was excited to see an animated version, more than excited, but this thing, unfortunately, pales in comparison. But, hey, it's got some blood right? It's almost as if the producers sat around a table, in the center of which was a picture of Superman's cape, tattered and attached to a stick, flying in the wind, and they all said "Whelp, we've got our base here, so let's get this thing done. After lunch." I dunno, maybe I'm being too harsh, but I really think that DC should have been a little more careful with their ol' flagship there. So that's my opinion, please refute it if you feel otherwise. ;)

I thought this was by far a much better movie than Superman Returns. Better fights, a better dialog in some respects and well paced. This will be a keeper.
