DC Hopes For Some Serious Green

So, I guess the Superhero genre is not dead yet. The Dark Knight, Hellboy 2, The Incredible Hulk, Hancock, and Iron Man have combined for over $1.1 Billion Domestically (so far) this Summer, and FINALLY, DC has realized that they have more than 2 Superheroes. Sure, Batman can make some bank every 3 years, but in between why not give some of the other guys a shot.

It looks like old GL will be the first to try and prove that Iron Man has nothing on DCs B-list as LatinoReview.com reports a film with the following description is moving forward:

Each sector of space is protected by a Green Lantern, possessing a power ring that uses a powerful green energy to do anything within the limits of the user’s imagination and will power. When the Green Lantern assigned to this sector of space finds himself dying on planet Earth, he tells the ring to find a suitable successor. The chosen replacement, hot-shot test pilot Hal Jordan, finds himself with a new job he never expected.

A Green Lantern film series could be amazing, as long as they keep Jack Black out of the suit.

Hopefully, we will soon hear news of the Green Arrow Supermax film moving forward as well. In 2010, Green may be very in.

Cool, I'll be looking forward to this. Hopefully Sinestro will be the villain.
